About

Dawn Kum

Dr. Dawn Kum brings more than three decades of experience in education, administration, and organizational leadership to her role as President of Integrated Solutions, LLC, a Washington, D.C.-based consulting firm she has led since 2003. Certified as a Local Small Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (LSDBE) and woman-owned, the firm delivers specialized consulting services across the private, public, and government sectors, with a focus on serving diverse and underserved communities. Areas of expertise include leadership development, curriculum design, public health, project management, and customer service training. Under Dr. Kum's stewardship, the firm has successfully formulated and administered more than $25 million in grant funding.

A tireless advocate for students with disabilities, Dr. Kum founded the Village Academy in Capitol Heights, Maryland in 2007 — a therapeutic day school designed to support high school students with learning and emotional disabilities. Serving as its CEO and operator until 2023, she directed all aspects of the school's operations, from human resources and financial oversight to regulatory compliance. Her leadership ensured a structured, supportive environment for some of the region's most vulnerable learners.

Beyond her professional work, Dr. Kum remains actively engaged in civic and community life. She participates in leadership development conferences aligned with her consulting mission and holds membership in Leadership Greater Washington and Jack and Jill of America — an organization of more than 50,000 family members committed to community uplift, health education, and cultural empowerment.
